Previously, Google rolledout some dark theme elements with Android Pie update. Now the search giant developed full dark mode and fixed any bugs discovered through Android 10 Beta testing. In the final beta, the dark mode appears gorgeous on Pixel devices. As Nokia uses stock android in Nokia 6.1 and 7 Plus devices, the dark mode may appear similar to Pixel devices.

Nokia 7 Plus and 6.1 users also get some improvement in battery life due to Dark mode in Android 10 update. Users can turn-on Dark mode by simply turning on the battery saver in Quick Settings or go to Settings>Display>Theme.

Project Mainline and Support for TLS 1.3

The Project Mainline is a security feature coming with Android 10. Google designed the feature to disseminate the critical Security updates for Android devices without any special update from Manufacturer. The critical updates install through Playstore and so users need not wait until the rollout of Security updates from OEMs. So Nokia 6.1 and 7 Plus users will get regular critical updates with Android 10.

Native support for TLS 1.3 is another security feature in Android 10. With TLS 1.3 support, browsing becomes more safe and also fast. Because of zero round trip time feature in TLS 1.3, browser will need fewer handshakes with Webserver, consequently pages will load quicker.
