OnePlus 6 and 6T are the last year flagships from the chinese tech giant OnePlus. The OnePlus 6 flagship arrived with pre-installed Android 8.1 Oreo and later received the Android 9 Pie update while the OnePlus 6T flagship arrived with Android 9 Pie out of the box in October, 2018. The next major update for these flagships is Android 10.

The chinese Phone-maker reveals the roadmap of rollout of Android 10 for OnePlus 6 and 6T flagships at the launch event of OnePlus 7T Pro. Both the flagships are bound to join the Open Beta program of Android 10 by the end of this month and most likely receive the stable update in November, 2019, according to OnePlus.

However, in part of Open Beta program, OnePlus begins the rollout of Oxygen OS10.0.1 few days ago, but many users are posting serious bugs like battery drain in the community forums. So OnePlus planning to release a stable release under version number 10.0.2 for OP7 and 7 Pro in the next month.

Thus, we recommend users to wait until the release of stable Oxygen OS 10 to taste the tenth iteration of Android. Users can check for updates by going into Settings> About Device > Check for updates.

What’s new in Oxygen OS 10

The tenth iteration of Android is coming with many remarkable features like Enhanced location permissions for privacy, Full Screen Gestures, Game Space, Smart Display, Block Spam messages, Option to change icon shape in Quick Settings, Focus mode and Parental controls, new emoji collection including animal and gender-neutral emojis.

The bugs in the latest release of Oxygen OS like battery drain, app crashing, Whatsapp and other issues will be fixed in the next release i.e., 10.0.2 according to Community forum.
